Colours
Colours.
Colour you see
the colours you define.
The invisible line between
What's yours and what's mine
Colours.
What you see is my colour
the paint on my body
given to me by another somebody
Curse me for my shade
and refuse to know how I'm made
Colours.
The borders we draw
in the blowing sand
and yet you scorn me
Because my genetic ink
May stain your hand
All because of colours.
You don't know
Anything else but colours.
But I know different colours
The colours in my mind
The colours of what is kind
The colours of the fight
and the colours of my might...
I know different colours
Ones you cannot see but if you look
You will know
that these colour...MY colours
Don't run...
Inspired by my personal conflicts with racism
